The Jimmy Leg: when you’re so excited for new adventures that you cannot control your leg movements. This happens quite a bit, but mostly at the beginning of a vacation.

Our day started quite dramatically with an overturned tractor trailer a few miles from the airport and an hour long line to check in baggage, but we didn’t let that dampen our spirits. A cream cheese bagel and super yummy coffee was needed and then we were off. 4 and a half hours later we landed in Houston and then we hit Buffalo Wild Wings. Wow, super hard to get a vegetarian dish in Texas. Everything seems to be bigger here: the food, the beer, the people, the trucks, just about everything. All the while, we can’t help but be excited for the adventure that awaits, so we seem (or mostly me) to bounce our leg up and down in anticipation of the next event (hence, “The Jimmy Leg”).

We arrived, met Jim’s sister Kris and headed over to Fatty’s for a margarita, then to Hibachi’s for some great grub where they cook the food right in front of you! A long day, but we’re really excited to spend time with Lily (3 1/2) and Delaney (1 1/2) tomorrow before our long trip to NZ. Super excited!
